CrashBangBooks began when, a few years ago, Lowell and I were driving to work. We were discussing the shift in reading technologies toward ebooks and audiobooks. The problem for us was that the kind of books we were interested in weren’t being released in those formats – at least not fast enough for us. Sometimes if a niche is considered too small, the larger publishing companies won’t invest in converting print to the new formats. So, we at Crashbang are hoping to fill a gap in the new-media world of publishing. We want to publish in ebook and audiobook the sorts of books that we are interested in reading (and writing).
Crashbang books was established to facilitate a collision of ideas. For us, the books with the most impact are the ones that challenge us, cause us to think again, and sometimes even offend us. These are the sorts of books that we like to read, because we find that they lead toward growth and change – the values that Crashbang is committed to advancing.
